As I recall, Sir Martin *implied* that he knew what was going on.

Yeah, well, somebody I talked to, can't remember off the top of my head, gave me a whole sorry detailed run down on this whole matter. Sir Martin's not known for being very direct and forthcoming, especially about possibly embarrassing things that got overlooked.

Yes, abserlutely. The folks at JM do. Last I heard, it's their trade secret and they don't feel like being philanthropic.

These people better hope I never hit the lottery. BTW, the operative word here is 'hit'.
