What "real" purpose is served in such a case by letting the public
know the whole truth ? - that - apparently, is the neocon sentiment on proceeding with any inquiry on this type of thing. They are probably correct - in a strange sort of way. Howdy Jones... I gave up wondering why and what people think and believe what they
will..... cuz... I have often been caught in the same snare.. Back when I was 17
I believed I was the only one that understood everything but now I think I
am the only one that doesn't. The most profound question ever posed was to
Christ.. " what is truth".
Do I believe TWA flight 800 was brought down by a missile? Yes.. But
that begs the question.. by whom?.. The US.? .. Terrorists? .. What if the US
did it with the intent of blaming the terrorists only to be threatened by the
terrorists with proof it was the US which in turn required some heavy coverup by
the US ? See what happens when conjecture enters the equation.. We wind up
saying.. we don't really know the truth but we think we do.
Ole Ben Franklin.. one of my greater heros .. had a born distrust of
governments. The US Constitution is actually a document that was written to
protect people from government and not visa-verse. Perhaps ole Ben's writing
should be a required course in grade school rather than American History.
