Hi Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Jones, This is probably a dumb and very provincial question to ask, but how do you know that the "Astro Glide" consistency of the treated water isn't due primarily from precipitation or leaching of elements (metals) such as from the anode and/or cathode. The process you both have described sort of reminds me of electroplating, without a surface for the precipitates to precipitate on. The skeptic within me wonders if the "dissolved" elements are simply building up in the water which, in turn, is causing the buildup of the oily consistency After all, you have been cooking the water for quite some time, haven't you?
I apologize up front if this question has already been answered. BTW: Astro Glide sure beats Wesson Oil any day of the week. ;-) Regards, Steven Vincent Johnson www.OrionWorks.com www.Zazzle.com/orionworks
