"snow"? What's that? ;-)

It is true that winters aren't too harsh in France, especially here on the 
sunny Mediterranean coast where we only get rain a few days per year. Note 
that when it rains "il pleut des chats et des chiens" comme vous dites, 
which makes up for the rarity.
