I have to say I found Macy's response both lucid and convincing; she
covered the salient points in Steve Krivit's article, and covered them
very well.
I would like to apologize for my earlier note on this subject, which I
sent in reply to Jed's post of the earlier IE response to Krivit's
article. I came down pretty hard on IE for their response, and the
quote I included from Krivit's article was, at best, in poor taste.
Particularly considering that I have no prior knowledge of any of the
parties involved, I don't think I should have sent that note.
And now, before I say anything else to offend people, I'm going to send
this off, close my Thunderbird window, go get a cup of coffee, and get
back to work.
I think it would be a good idea for Steve Krivit to ask permission to
reproduce this in his website, and I think he should modify the original
article if he finds that some of Macy's points are valid.
