Good!
However I would sooner submit myself to a public flogging than to edit or censor the past.
Good heavens, why not? I am forever revising and rewriting stuff. I would not want to leave old mistakes of mine lying around if I can erase them. I have done four editions of the book since 2004. More, actually, but I didn't count all the revisions. I just slide in partial mini-releases (2.4, 2.5, 2.5.1) when the readers are not looking. I am a programmer, and we programmers like to change things for no reason, and fix things which are not broken. Hey, it's called "job security" -- okay?
