Why?
Because high energy alphas have not been detected in proportion to
the enthalpy generated, not even close by orders of magnitude. This
is one of the great theoretical challenges taken up by the Chubbs -
explaining why high energy particles, including alphas (and their
Bremsstrahlung) are *not* found in numbers sufficient to explain the
enthalpy. This is one of the strengths of the deflation fusion
concept, in that individual high energy products should not be
generated in the process.
I would like to hear why you would expect 12 MeV alphas predicted by
a theory as the principal reaction path to *not* be a major problem
with the theory.
