Howdy Jones,
I've passed your suspicions on the Judge Roy Bean. If there ever was a guy that
could get to the bottom of it.. well.. err. beside a bottle of Mescal.. it's
ole Judge Roy.
The problem is that he sorta lost interest after investigating Pancho Villa's
raid on Columbus New Mexico. Seems ole Pancho was set up by Black jack
Pershing, Eisenhower, Patton and Geo Marshall that served at Fort Bliss EL Paso
Texas around year 1914-17.
Black Jack was wanting to try out some of his fancy new weapons so as to get
ready for WW1. Not having any live targets to shoot at.. Black Jack chased
Pancho all over Northern Mexico for several years without ever catching him,
perhaps because that would end the fun of target practice.
There has never been a lack of conspiracies or politicians in Texas.Seems the
more we get rid of to Washington, the more they send back to us.. and wez got
about all the presidential libraries wez can handle for awhile... the kids
don't go to libraries anymore since computers.
I'll put in a good word for you at SMU new Bushwacker Library if you need a job
tracking down facts and fiction cuz this library should be the mother of all
"truth preservation".

  Subject: [Vo]:OT: Camelot revisited

On the 45th Anniversary of the end of Camelot... there have been strange
revelations on the conspiracy front. Not necesarrily true, but stange. At
least, it makes for more drama than anything James Bond can offer on a gray
weekend, now that that the 007 franchise has apparently decided to go
"plotless" from now on (not that I didn't like the action).

And speaking of lost paths - how long will it take for the Aquarian dream of
the sixties - peace, love, flower power, and all that - to re-establish itself
in this new century, or will the same forces of evil prevail? Already Obama is
being compared to JFK.

The Dallas Police Association headquarters building is officially named "The
George E. Butler Building" in honor of the detective who was the organized
crime expert for the Dallas Police at the time when JFK was assassinated.
Curiously, he was never interviewed by the Warren Commission despite his
intimate knowledge of the situation. He was in charge of, and standing next to
Oswald at that infamous moment his old friend and free-lap-dance supplier -
Jack Ruby - silenced Lee Harvey for all eternity.

He had known Jack Ruby and Ruby's sister Eva Grant since 1947 - or before,
and knew that Ruby had an illegitimate son who met with him regularly in the
sixties. And more intriguing is that Butler has been said to have been Dorothy
Kilgallen's 'deep throat' information source -- that is: before she too was
murdered to further silence the conspiracy.

The bombshell she had obtained from Butler was apparently that Jack Ruby was
Oswald's biological father. DNA could now confirm that - if any remains from
the two. It would be no surprise if none survived, of course.

Lee Harvey Oswald was born in 1939, in New Orleans before Ruby moved to
Dallas. According to conventional wisdom Oswald's father died of a heart attack
just two months before Oswald was born, leaving Oswald's mother to care for
three young children. There is no indication that Ruby, who was itenerate at
the time, was ever associated with Oswald's mother, except for the Butler
revelation- so it is very easy to dismiss.

It is almost too bizarre a detail for even Dorothy Kilgallen to have
believed. But that knowledge may have been her death warrant - and an act which
served double duty to silence Butler from then on.

Less easy to dismiss, was a letter from the FBI to the Dallas police chief,
found in an old safe recently, stating that Eva Grant (Ruby's sister) had sworn
under oath immediately after the event, that her father had inexplicably
obtained a full detailed police report on the preparations for Kennedy's visit
to Dallas.

Ruby was not likely to have be on the White House or Secret Service mailing
list, so he probably got it through his mob connections, or through Butler. Did
Ruby setup Lee in the Book Depository, which was the 'weak link' in security
that was obvious to anyone with the aforementioned police report ?

Should not the Warren Commission have mentioned Eva Grant's testimony in
their report, even if it was discredited by her character as being true (she
ended up as a prostitute)?

All of that is makes for good fact-tinged fiction - but if there is a grain
of truth to the recurrent suggestion that there exist a cadre of 'bad apples'
remaining at high levels of goverment - pehaps even invigorated by 8 years of
coddling by Dick Cheney, then Obama should be especially vigilant.

There is no assurance that even the Secret Service has not been infiltrated
by Cheney.

Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan asked congressional leaders in April to
extend Cheney’s security detail beyond January when the administration leaves
office, citing “the threat environment we face today,” The Washington Post
reported that Cheney will get a $4 million Secret Service detail for six months
beyond the administration’s term. This is not without precedent but scary.

Former agency officials said the request is reasonable considering the war in
Iraq, the terrorism threat and the "unusually active role Cheney played in
Washington". No kidding.

They did not mention any special need for Cheney to stay in touch with the
same people who will be protecting Obama.

Guess we have to trust out govenrment on that one, no?
