As long as this is public let me add that I couldn't reach him on the phone so I translated the gist of it (as I said) and send it by text, with your e-mail addresses attached. So he may respond directly.
To avoid confusion I recommend sending people text messages in their native language, whenever possible. That's better than a phone call or voice message. It is the best way to communicate.
