This latest "galactic elliptic" bru ha-ha reminds me of same kind of
hype that got frothed up concerning the infamous Harmonic Convergence
celestial event, which happened back in the late 1980s. We're still
here. Just in time for another generation, a new crop of young
enthusiasts to carry on the "cause" in different clothing. The world
is coming to an end...really!!!! Revision 23.b.

How do we know our solar system just happens to be conveniently
passing through the galactic elliptic - right about now!!!!  Who made
this assessment?

Better yet, who started it. I think that would be a much more
interesting story worth tracking down.
