grok, the reason is that either out of malice or disregard there are businesses (people) who are happy to hurt people, make them sick and kill them for a profit.
I can't decide which is their main objective the money or the destruction but both occurs. Cancer is one example of something that is extremely curable but they would rather see people die. And most people are deluded enough to trust those in authority, they trust that they are honest and knowledgeable.
