It actually picks up brain waves, from my understanding. I know a bit more about the other company that makes similar. They have a headset with a single sensor, and it picks up concentration states and meditation states, basically. This is supposed to be the same thing, but with more pickups.
they DO also have facial motion pickup, but not JUST facial motion pickup. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13772_3-9874515-52.html is a good article. ive unfortunately not had a chance to use a headset, just the basic software.
