If you look at page 295 of: http://www.lenr-canr.org/acrobat/MosierBossuseofcrinp.pdf
you can see that the typical co-deposited granule is under a micron, and they are in clusters under 5 microns. Some high energy alphas should be showing up if Takahasi's theory of two 23.8 MeV alphas from Be8* holds as-is, and is thought to be the primary source of alphas. Like most all or all other theories of CF, it needs some revision to reflect reality.
