As far as I know, he expresses no doubt about it, any more than Robert Park does. Ask him! He is not shy about speculating or accusing people. I think he sincerely believes these people are lying. That being the case, there is nothing ethically wrong about him stating his opinion and no reason for him to hide or soft-pedal his views. (Not that he ever would.) By the same token, I am sure that someone at MIT fudged their data. I have never had any doubt about it, from the moment I saw the graph, because the points have been manually moved and added. No computer could have generated that graph. I have never hesitated to say this. It is not terribly important because the results were probably not significant anyway, and it was a half-assed experiment. But it is fraud. I think Krivit is incorrect, but he has a right to his opinion. I do not think he is causing much harm. I wouldn't worry about him. As I said he is "unhelpful" but no big deal. - Jed
