They have tested a lot more than 64 cathodes, I think.

And you know the drill. They vary the hell out of those cathodes, trying to find the magic formula, get out of N one that shows high heat, then try apparently the same cathode again, and get much less or nothing.

(I know that other researchers -- and perhaps them as well -- have done more than this. I'm just complaining about the paucity of data in so many papers.)

My own idea would be to aim for somehing more boring but more predictable. Ideally, it would show the effect every time. Doesn't have to be a "big" effect. That's needed for practical application, not for establishing a basic experiment where it then becomes possible to nail down what increases and what decreases the effect.

I wanted to write something here about McKubre's replication of the Energetics Technologies SuperWave work, published in the 2008 ACS LENR Sourcebook. But don't have time.
