Thanks for the clearer wording, but the "skeleton" is probably my old posts to vortex, and in any event my ultimate source is/was the same as yours Abd, the 75 year old paper. I have a gut feeling that the beta decay can lead to D+D fusion by supplying the excess energy somehow, but that is too large a jump to handle at this point in time. Jones
