I don't know if any of you remember when a Soviet Phobos spacecraft found a shadow on Mars in the late 1980's, There was much hoopla about the oval nature of the shadow. Phobos was supposedly attacked by a UFO while examining the shadow. Opportunity is in one such shadow now.
