Yes. In fact, speaking of EC - in a way it is too bad that Rossi did not
find cobalt instead of copper as the main transmutation product. 

There are a number of reasons that cobalt would be easier to explain,
including low radiation and the resultant ash which does not seems to emit
at all. Copper is not as good a fit.
