Whoa. Not sure where that comment came from, but it indicates that the
commenter has not followed Rossi's story very closely.

In fact, there were two fires in New Hampshire at his lab during the period
when he was working on the TEG, circa 2005-6 - which were stated to be from
improper handling of Raney nickel. 

OK - you may say that this does not constitute evidence that he is now using
it, since it was the cause of the past fires - and maybe he learned his
lesson and switched to something safer after abandoning the TEG. 

Well, maybe. However, the very fact that the material is so extraordinarily
energetic, makes me think that a diligent researcher would never abandon it
when he is looking for the most energy out of an experiment. In fact those
fires most likely pointed the way to what he has now.

Hopefully he has now learned how best to activate Raney - so that it never
has the chance to cause another fire.
