As everyone here remembers, this was disputed after the first test. I would not know, but I have found on-line engineering reference manuals that say they are doing it right. I think the conclusions made by some people after the first test -- that it is possible to produce what appears to be steam but the enthalpy is ~20 times less than dry steam -- is highly unlikely. I think that must be a mistake.

I expect these people know what they are doing. That includes Dr. Galantini, the fellow who checked the steam quality in the first test.
