We're *NOT* sullying it! If the discussion proves nothing else, it proves that, if the "Rossi effect" isn't real, it's so similar in appearance to a "real" effect that we really can't tell the difference. So, we're using "Memorex" as shorthand for "An illusion so good, you can't tell it from the real thing".
