Funny Krivit did not mention the stated source of the post: EVworld ... and the crux of this boils down to my interpretation of that interview, not a rumor. EVworld is e-zine with more credibility than his own, and they scooped him on this story big time - but apparently he is reluctant to take them on, man-to-man, or admit he has outflanked over and over, of late.
I suppose the discrepancy in actual detail that permits him to mislabel this as "rumor" can be reduced to this: is NASA's work "only" a Ni-H experiment, similar to Rossi's or a bona fide "replication"? That is a matter of interpretation given this particular time frame, and the extreme publicity Rossi gets in Europe. But mostly that Krivit has largely missed out on the story of his lifetime and compounded the error with trying to prop up Piantelli. Perhaps it would have been best to call NASAs effort an "experiment which is similar to the Mills/Thermacore/Focardi/Piantelli/Rossi line of experiments using nickel nanomaterials and catalysts (which are possibly unique) and somewhat 'like Rossi' but not identical" - but that characterization is a bit burdensome for all concerned. Obviously Bushnell is not in direct collaboration with Rossi. Should I have made that clear? That Krivit perceives there to be some imaginary difference here, worthy of putting it into print with deceptive intent (as to the source) and yet does not want to challenge Moore directly - may get back to whatever is his propriety interest: financial, emotional, or otherwise, with Lewis Larsen. It goes far beyond quality or even average journalism, and that should be obvious to all by now. Krivit could be correct about Larsen, and LL may be holding aces in the race to understand this phenomenon, but clearly Steve's involvement goes far beyond good journalism. Too bad. Last year he looked like the emerging spokesperson for the whole field (to me), a real star who could move it onto a national stage, but recently he has faded to little more than an afterthought having largely missed out on, shall I repeat: the story of a lifetime. Sad. Steve is a decent man at heart, and I can only hope that he is getting something valuable in return for his overzealous promotional efforts towards W&L, to balance the lack of respect from the rest of the LENR community - which he has seemed to encourage - in the past year. Maybe he really does know something deep and important about Larsen that everyone else has missed?
