Axel, Robin, ... and others. So far, everyone has danced around offering any conjecture pertaining to my original question.
The crux of my original question was: When a "chain" reaction is initiated what are the speculated temperature ranges, both the high AND LOW VALUES? Plenty of discussion has been offered up as to the upper limit, which presumably must be the melting point of nickel. But so far no one has discussed and/or offered any speculation as to the lower temperature limit. IOW, how "cool" can the chain reaction be kept more-or-less sustainable? Thanks again, in advance.
