There has been a lot of debate pertaining to what might turn out to be
a more accurate descriptive term for "Cold Fusion". Should the
phenomenon be called CANR - Chemically Assisted Nuclear Reactions? Or
should it be called LENR - Low Energy Nuclear Reactions.

It seems to me that society often tends to eventually get around to
shortening complicated acronyms and accompanying definitions to the
bare minimum. A lot can get lost in the translation, and that's just
the breaks. ...which has lead me to wonder if "CF" will eventually be
called something as simple as: "Nuclear Chemistry".

The shortened term, "Nuclear Chemistry", or "NC", simply attempts to
marry both our awareness of "nuclear" effects with the effects
attributed to "chemistry". Lately, there seem to be tantalizing hints
that suggest that these seemingly separate fields of science,
Chemistry versus Nuclear Reactions, might not necessarily be so
separate after all!

Is "Nuclear Chemistry" a better definition than CF, LENR, or CANR? I
dunno. Nevertheless, I suspect "Nuclear Chemistry" may turn out to be
easier to pronounce. For better or worse, that may turn out to be the
ultimate deciding factor insofar as Joe Public is concerned. ;-)
