A blank test can indeed be faked. It just adds a layer of difficulty to
the faking process and complicates scamming. It's only of value if Rossi
keeps insisting on proving his device with short runs and questionable
measurement methods. And his existing methods have been questionable. All
sorts of excellent questions and issues have been raised here and not fully
put to rest with the ensuing arguments.

A blank doesn't help if the whole test is opaque and nothing could be more
opaque than the last October 28 "demonstration". A blank also isn't needed
if the test is done independently and provides a reliable measure of
enthalpy and a very long running time. Rossi always refuses both. All
three actually, thus far.
