Peter,
Rossi is already one of many - the new researchers that we hear
about here on Vortex are less than the tip of the iceberg. I wish Rossi well
but seriously doubt he will even get his own investment back out without a
patent. He is probably too old and poor to survive the years of litigation it
would take to recover anything from his intellectual property - Especially
since new physics must first be proven before any explanation Rossi currently
has could be patentable. I honestly believe we are only a single breakthrough
away from this technology being proven by experiment rather than theory. I
would put Mills, Moller and Rossi all in the same boat of having self
destructive product - the more OU they demonstrate the more damage the geometry
sustains making repeatability difficult unless you use new powder every time.
Defkallion talk of modifying the reactor geometry and spreading out the
reaction does sound like a logical way to mitigate the self destruction - I
don't think it will eliminate it but could increase repeatability enough to
finally prove by experiment that this is for real.

Fran

Rossi's compettion will multiply, prosper and deliver
certainties. Rossi will become one of many.

Hi all,
Rossi made the following statement on his journal:

January 10th, 2012 at 4:05 PM

[ ... ] ready to make order confirmations in Autumn; [ ... ] first deliveries
will start perhaps within the year, but I cannot promise it [ ... ]

I assume everyone here picked up on the significance of this, right?

Applying the usual "delivery date estimate deflater" which is required in any
industry, this means we should expect first deliveries no earlier than 2013.

Until then, whether you "believe" or not, if you want to know for sure if this
is real, you will just have to wait and see. Until first deliveries happen
(or don't happen) nothing is going to be conclusive. (Oh, the believers will
think it's all conclusively positive, the skeptics will think it's all
conclusively negative, but there surely won't be anything conclusive enough to
move a fence-sitter to one side or the other.)

My prediction: This is going to be a long, boring year on Vortex with almost
all discussion preempted by interminable chewing over of the bits and pieces of
rumors and questionable facts surrounding Rossi.
