Shaun,

I use a heat pump with COP of 6 in Georgia to heat my pool. It still
needs a heat source such as relatively warm air or geothermal as a

Of course. We do not create energy from nothing. We transform it from one form into another.

In a practice sense your COP 6 heat pump very significantly lowered your cost of energy to heat your pool by utilizing energy stored in the air or in the ground. Who cares what the energy sources (ok is must be clean) is as long as you can tap into it to lower your energy bills.

I'm trying to find the article I read which stated the Japanese had released a heat pump with a COP > 10. Using such a machine, you could then make enough electricity to close loop it and still have significant excess energy output for other uses.

Who needs a false Ecat god and it's ever attendant lord Rossi to worship when we can buy a Japanese heat pump with a COP > 10?

Shaun
