I do not see what this study has to do with Fukushima. This describes mice exposed to 400 times background for 5 weeks. This is many orders of magnitude less than a child would be exposed to living near Fukushima from birth to adulthood. In areas 50 km from Fukushima where water collects and percolates into the ground, the radiation levels are so high they go off the scale of a handheld Geiger counter. Any kid playing in the dirt in a town like that would be exposed to far more than 400 x background for 5 weeks. All kids play in the dirt. Granted, the ones living within 50 km of the reactor are not allowed to go outside at all these days, for good reason. - Jed
