A COP of 6 is not too bad if the ECAT working fluid output temperature is 600C. A reasonably efficient generator system can be driven at that level that would be capable of supplying the input power required with a fair amount of excess power capacity. The COP limitation is only a portion of the total system. The overall efficiency of the combination would still be 23% or so. This is not a problem when the cost of the fuel is virtually nothing.

MHO 6 is where a reactor with that geometry is stable enough not to ause arm, that's the "physical reason". mic 012/5/29 Peter Gluck <[email protected]>: From Rossi's blog: ------------------------------------ Ville Kanninen May 28th, 2012 at 3:47 PM You said that COP 6 is the highest possible. Have you found some very fundamental physical reasons to this limitation (which you will publish some day) or is this just because of the current engineering choices ? kind regards Ville Kanninen Andrea Rossi May 28th, 2012 at 4:20 PM Dear Ville Kanninen: Very good question. We have found physical reasons to this limitation, and we are going to publish this fact along with the theory. Thank you. Warm Regards, A.R. I think this (if true) is very disappointing, at a certain moment it seemed the E-cats will be almost self-sustaining. Peter -- Dr. Peter Gluck Cluj, Romania http://egooutpeters.blogspot.com
