Rossi is definitely not it in for the money. Legitimate people have offered him huge sums. He does not even respond. For him, it is about control. He wants every aspect of the research and development under his thumb. He resembles Shockley. Shockley was a great scientist but a lousy manager and terrible at business. > > What we know about Rossi's devices is very little. > It could be as low as COP 1.1 or 1.0, as the skeptics say: a mere pooof of > water vapor. > Not a chance. As I have pointed out many times, it burned a person hours after the power was turned off. If the COP had been 1.1 it would have been room temperature. There is no doubt it self sustained for hours, producing kilowatts with no chemical fuel and not electric power input. To question that is puerile and technically illiterate. Plus independent tests with proper instruments have confirmed the claims. > > If so, is it stable? > I doubt that. > It is manifestly stable. It ran for hours without input. You can see from the data that it was reasonably stable. You do not need to invent idiotic, technically illiterate reasons to denigrate Rossi's achievements, such as this blather about the COP of 1.1. Rossi makes a fool of himself more than enough. You do not need to make him look bad because he deliberately makes himself look awful. I suggest you put aside considerations of his personality and concentrate only on the technical claims. There is no doubt they are real, and pretty much the way Rossi describes them. Unlike some other people in this field he does not exaggerate the power or performance of his cells, as far as I know, and I know pretty far. > Lewan/Ny Teknik has been suspicously silent for some time. > > Why so? > Because there is nothing to report. - Jed
