It seems to me that Darwinism Evolution has sparked a lot of research programs in many fields, like this one<http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0028766>at Harvard Medical School.
By the way, I would love to see an explanation on how could their method work if evolution was not a fact. Nevertheless, there are many things that still demands explanation, we just don't know. Yet. In the other hand, Intelligent Design has explained... OH, WAIT! Nothing! We have some pretty good evidences of Evolution, but none of Intelligent Design. Just saying it's too complex to be random is not a explanation, is an excuse. So, the current state of affairs is that we have somethings explained by evolution versus NONE explained by ID. Maybe the ID supporters have some pretty good evidence to show us and we just have not asked for that yet. But we would like to see some positive evidence, and not tha same old excuse "I don't know how this happened so there must be some good old designing going on..." While waiting fot that good piece of evidence, I still think that some evidence is better than none.
