It takes a strong imagination to transpose this first tentative finding of "Entanglement Between Photons that have Never Coexisted" into a real future... http://arxiv.org/abs/1209.4191 ... instead of a SciFi plot, where the technology actually allows one to send a photonic "message" back in time ... via sequential non-local quantum correlations - such that each entanglement may only step back a picoseconds or less, and going back a few minutes is a major production costing billions. Why? Actually- if you saw the movie "Source Code" you may understand one nuance of this possibility. (cannot recommend the movie from a technical standpoint, but it has deep implications about how "prior knowledge" of events, sent back in time to a proper recipient, could actually alter our present timeline). In the movie, the message from the future only goes back 8 minutes to a recipient who is actually dead in the present. Too bad the film did not live up to the technological possibilities, but it came close enough, and the acting was excellent.
