I was thinking the same when listening/reading to the news today. US have a long term vision about his energy consumption/production and stay stick to it. The choice might not be the best and have pro and cons. Environmental concerns arise against oil sands and shale gas .
Today, LENR is not ready yet to be taken into account by governments. On the contrary, the old Europe has no political energy or very poor which can be summarized by less consumption. Good 1st step, when the energy consumption can not collapse without of a collapse of the standard of living. Soon or later Europe has to wake up. Maybe the LENR revolution might come from the "old continent". About energy consumption/production, the strategy change currently ongoing in the US has globally an important change positions of power on earth, especially in Asia. But that's a bit of topic here on Vortex to elaborate further.
