I've wondered about such systems for sometime, those that convert one form of energy to another.
Suppose someone had a vessel capable of being pressurized in which water was electrolyzed. While electrolysis isn't that efficient, nevertheless, are the pressurized gases therefrom a sort of 'free' kinetic energy, if they drove a turbine or piston motor?
