>explosives- ... That was not really my question..... My question was more of the "did anyone get an unexpected explosion and then discontinue the work...." The thought being that if you ever get the environment exactly right one is likely to see more energy release than you were planning for.... so experimental lines of inquiry that were terminated when things exploded leading to no budget or interest to continue might be fruitful avenues to explore...
