There may be multiple banks in parallel, i.e. 4 would bring the current per cell down to 25 A. If the cells are made square and thin with the large flat surfaces used as anode and cathode, then 25 A may not be a problem. In this format, they would also stack well in series. A thin cell would also tend to have a lower internal resistance, nevertheless, I agree that there would probably be a cooling problem.
