His $17 stock is pushing $40. As several articles mention, GM mostly had the correct ingredients but did not adequately couple the wimpy ICE to the electric motor so that they could provide cumulative performance. So the Volt is a slow-poke - by far the worst performing $40,000 car ever. Even a few tree-huggers, and all of the Sierra Club, like to have a bit of obscene power when they need it.
