Oil industry is not holly, this is why they fund such NGO. The climate skeptic battle is not pushed by big corps, at most funded by few rich individual and by some maverick politicians.
that does not remove the fact that beside the big money, the big political battle between modern NGO and old politicians, there have been clear, public, manipulation of scientific method, clear symptom of groupthink... the same I observed against LENR. Maybe their official mother house is paid by individual, like a church is, but (and it is harder to publish it than to accuse oil industry) there are network subsidiaries , paid by state subsidies(in France some research funding is paid to their satellites, when it is not universities who are built for their ideas) , by gasprom, and by industrials (like BP, some to buy quietness, some to buy advantages)... we should stop being naive on any camp. just see the budget of their websites since 5 years... skeptic sites just starts to know what is a webdesigner. Maybe at last they get some budget. they are in the same state as cold fusion. and the harassment against dissenters, the smear campaign like that remind me cold fusion, if not worse... Scientifically I'm open, (which is already forbidden by law according to them) but I'm sure it stinks. On both side I agree.
