And while I could mention some of these things, the problem is that you will always consider that it applies to either other governments, not the transparent US Government, and when it is the US Government, then surely not now. Do you really need a list of things Governments, including the US government (and military) has done that makes this sadly plausible? They have lost plausible deniability on anything at this point.
