Why would it cause textbooks to be rewritten?  Energy from gravity is already 
done via tidal energy.  There’s nothing to see here unless it’s economical.   


We already have many forms of energy that generate power in ways that aren’t 
economical.  Who cares if we have yet one more (and a seemingly terrible one at 
that).

RAR wrote originally that the machine design output was 30 - 33 kW. So even if 
it worked as designed it would be uneconomic.   Even if it works well enough to 
overcome friction it will cause the text books to be rewritten though.
