few point. 1- spying is happening. I know 3 cases in recent quarters. 1 builder and 2 followers, and 1 tentative to get sample, 1 computer high-profile attack with perfect cleaning, and 1 ground intrusion by serious guys. forget suppression, it is economic intelligence (#nsa?) as most Snowden describe (terrorism is an accessory question for NSA, and they are right, selfishly right, unethically right). 2- the problem today is that investors act as if the technology was industrial and they propose millions in exchange to final product. they should rather invest below the million as startup capital... the expectation seems to make them forget how innovation works. 3-most executives are not aware of anything, even the opposing guys... even SciAm is thanking me for an ironical message today. they live on another planet... the informed people are few, and don't relay information, or like us are not believed. See what is happening with Celani... as said in Groupthink wiki page the delusioned are so sure to be right and best, that they take stupid risk, like erasing quote on wiki or firing a LENr hero...
