interesting, to estimate the cost of a first LENR-Car prototype let us make an easy engineering toy prototype... take a teslaS 60kEur (take it as 80k$) my estimate of price of LENR reactor was from defkalion, 100$/kWth and top micro turbines are about 2000$/kWe to recharge the tesla, take 20kWe (3 hours recharge) this mean 60-80kWth take 80 8000$ of reactor (you can double for better savety and ruggedness) 40000$ of turbine (wow, should improve) so a car at about 140k$ anyway an enginerr I know told me that steam engine/turbine could be made with car technology for a price of 1000$ today (that is the price of an engine today, from factory, and turbine may be simpler than HDi diesel) remove 90% of autonomy in batteries, to put it in cheap turbine and lenr reactor and maybe you could make a car like todays price... probably at the price of a toyota prius.
