Dennis Cravens mentioned here on vortex that he has had success in LENR
when he adds rare earth metals to his experiments.

The method by which this addition of rare earths might succeed in LENR is
that rare earths have an electron orbital structure like iron where the 4F
electron obit is the same as iron. This allows for the generation of rare
earth magnetism to be generated in the Cravens experiments.

Rare earths seem to provide the magnetic fields needed to stimulate LENR
even if it is at a very low level in the Cravens experiments.
