Not really crazy - Rossi/Focardi's old comments relates to positrons as one of the possibilities - along with Ni->Cu. The way to convert electrons to energy is via positrons (anti-electrons). However, that radiation signature shows up quite well with meters, and it is probably why in 2011, Bianchini who was hired to look for a radiation signature, used a meter designed specifically for positron/electron detection. Sorry but the result was negative.
