If the birds are dumb enough to fly thru a sunlight beam, then so be it. What the heck are the birds doing in the desert anyways. That is not their natural habitat.

If you believe in Darwinian Evolution, that's natural selection for you, so you have no right to complain about it.

This hyper-environmental agenda is just too much. First, its the panels, then the wind turbines, now the concentrated solar. Tommorrow, their going to complain about my wave pumps. This is crazy. This agenda is driven by the NWO Illuminati who obviously want to depopulate the earth down to 50 million people. They are indoctrinating people to believe "people are bad" and should be depopulated.

I don't know about you, but I can't buy into this hyper-environmentalism depopulation agenda. We need to generate electricity for our needs. Like I said, if the birds are dumb enough .....

Workers at a state-of-the-art solar plant in the Mojave Desert have a
name for birds that fly through the concentrated beams of solar energy
focused upward by the plant's 300,000 mirrors — "streamers," for the
smoke plume that comes from birds that ignite in midair.

Federal wildlife investigators who visited BrightSourceEnergy's
Ivanpah plant last year and watched as birds burned and fell,
reporting an average of one "streamer" every two minutes, are urging
California officials to halt the operator's application to build a
still-bigger version.

The investigators want the halt until the full extent of the deaths
can be assessed. Estimates per year now range from a low of about a
thousand by BrightSource to 28,000 by an expert for the Center for
Biological Diversity environmental group.

"Streamers" establishes the graphic well.
