I think the rules change WRT control stimuli in  run-away.. a good point was 
made in earlier thread regarding the runaway where one of Rossi reactors was 
seen to continue heating white hot long past the melt down temperature was 
exceeded. I believe it was Axil who made the argument that the reaction must be 
continuing as a plasma beyond this point and this is probably where Rossi gets 
into trouble trying to control a second set of parameters that influences the 
reaction at a variable rate  depending on how far into run away it goes .. 
Maybe he should look for a stimulus that only effects the plasma and then do a 
hand off where he slowly removes all of the initial heating  stimulus to the 
geometry and compensates for it with a stimulus that targets the plasma so that 
he can then shift the control loop completely to the plasma stimulus  
[otherwise the shifting of temp will forever vary two stimulus stimulus 
provides and confuse the loop]..  The heat sink is also important but is a very 
low frequency control almost to the point of varying DC / It may be the thermal 
drain that keeps the white hot reactor plastic enough to maintain the plasma 
geometry being formed..

I wouldn't assume they have no automation, but maybe in their lab experiments 
they do not.  Regardless, it should not be terribly difficult to build a 
control system.  I presume he follows some kind of internal rules and reacts 
based on the rules.  If he can do it manually, it could be systematized.
