I am not a python user, but /usr/bin/python -V says "Python 2.3.5",
so I assume thats the version number. I am running Mac OS 10.4.6, and
it was a clean installation without any prior OS version to mess
things up. I also have /sw/bin/python2.3 from fink, which says
"Python 2.3.4".
