What are you using, Beryl? That's not compiz! xD Then again, I only have Compiz 0.3.4... > CS does run under OGL if you tell it to. I think it shouldn't be too impossible to make our own Cube/Prism/Square plugin... How difficult could it have been for the original programmers, if it's just a single plugin among many? And since it's all opensource, can't we work with those developers? > I dare say, I'd hope it to *replace* our desktop, in which case something > like this would be necessary for backwards compatibility (like the dos > box in a windows machine). In my pet project "VirtualityOS", I came up with a different 3d mode, wherein you could not only 'step away from the desktop', but also 'use 3dspace AS a desktop', so you could navigate around, as though the taskbar were a sort of 'vehicle', that is, it would remain snapped to the screen, but it would move with the camera. Ah, but I best digress before I give away ALL my ideas! -Steve _______________________________________________ vos-d mailing list [email protected] http://www.interreality.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/vos-d
