Implications of the Texas Sect's Kid Seizure & the Court's Illegality Ruling

Tragically, one can only imagine the damage already done to these little
Texas kids dragged from their families and homes and who were so ill equipped
for the visually and emotionally overwhelming and alien world they were thrust
into at camps, detention centers, foster centers, and foster homes. Kids who
had not been previously exposed to video games, TV, fast food, modern music
etc.
Too many people forget or don't know - but similar acts of such heavy-handed
horror happened to poor white kids during the past century all across a wide
swath of the US and particularly the Midwest - during the teens years until
WW 2; where sheriffs would come and seize poor kids under any so called
anonymous tip - the family supposedly being too poor to feed them etc to
molestation.
These kids would be dragged away without warning, grabbed by strangers to
stay with strangers, families usually broken up. (Some stories were documented
on the old Unsolved Mystery series.)
Many were taken then to a so called "orphanages" .
My Mom and her siblings were just such kids - and they went to the
Evangelical Home for Orphans in North St. Louis, 40 miles from their home - in
an
operation later exposed as illegal and tied to the sale of children and truly
suspected molestation and sexual exploitation; but buried in a closed grand
jury
and minor convictions decades later.
These kids would be shown off like a slave trade sale, to the highest
bidder, while, supposedly these kids were taken to "work" in exchange for room
and
board.
Horridly, at least half these kids including my Mom and her brother and one
sister were molested.
Some kids were out-right sold to pedophiles and their records and fates
unknown to this day - sadly, St. Louis has been a hot bed of that garbage
for a
100 years or more .. Ask the Archdiocese....
Families then, as today, would become bankrupt if they were not already -
fighting these seizures. While, most just had to give up are face more
harassment.
My Mom got away and returned by constantly running away and finally being
returned following a court fight.
My poor uncle - was returned after he was experimented on (like one of the
Kennedy daughters back then) by having a partial lobotomy supposedly to
treat depression -- a depression in my late uncle's case brought on by being
dragged from his parents and molested - he never was normal again.
These current un-lawful seizures - like the ICE Iowa raid, are more about
getting people used to the prospect of seizing "those other people" and to the
desire to acclimate the mass number of people to allowing such large scale
seizures as were done in the US and Canada with Native American kids for half
a century unchallenged - and in Nazi Germany, Stalin's USSR, Khmer Cambodia,
China and Arabia and parts of Africa and Indochina today, Central America in
the 60-90's, and oh yeah, apparently the USA today too.
Thank god, what this current ruling proves - there still exists some brave
honest judges. This was a highly unusual ruling :
"...The appeals judges who ruled, Chief Justice W. Kenneth Law and Justices
Robert. H. Pemberton and Alan Waldrop, all Republicans, said removing
children from their homes was “an extreme measure” justifiable only in the
event
of urgent or immediate danger...."
"...Susan Hays, a lawyer in Dallas who specializes in appellate law and who
is the lawyer for a 2-year-old taken from the ranch,.... said she was
surprised by the judges, whom she described as among the most conservative on
the
court. “This ruling restored my faith in the rule of law,” she said. “This is
an opinion based on law and not politics.”
We must champion the courage of these three judges; but surely, those poor
kids are traumatized for life and it was all un-necessary and as usual, today,
all based on so called anonymous tips - the current favorite tools of
domestic police, HSD, FBI, ICE, DEA, ATF, and even family welfare, local
ordinance,
and even animal abuse agencies.
No one has to agree with or philosophically or morally approve of illegal or
legal immigration - or polygamy - to realize that such illegal seizures and
jack-boot techniques are wrong and are setting scary precedence.
Remember WACO?
My late Mom and I watched most of that unfold live on CNN, as we cared for
my bed ridden Dad.
That so called "cult" leader, David Koresh, jogged everyday and could have
been seized as he jogged any-day on the road or during his weekly visits to
town for supplies; and then calm negotiations could have begun. Instead a
heavy
handed heavily armed assault was planned with a full scale assault launched
like a war zone mission, terrorizing everyone inside and making anyone not
already paranoid - scared and reluctant to surrender.
The excuse then too - which turned out to be untrue - was child abuse -
proven untrue, and many of those supposed victims were burned alive by the use
of
flame throwing tanks -- which was seen on life TV - I know I watched it.
And don't forget the Ruby Ridge assault which resulting in an unarmed US
citizen - a mother gunned down by an FBI sniper while holding her baby and
the
murder of her 14 year boy and his dog as they walked on a private property
road.
Again no one lost their jobs, no govt official went to jail even though
innocents died and frankly very little citizen outrage ensued since "these
people
were different so it didn't matter " and the event was seen as a least
'generally ignorable" if not approved intervention by "authorities" who we had
been taught to "trust" and not question.
More citizens and such brave judges must stand up and fight these
paramilitary actions domestically, and stand up and challenge and close these
anonymous
loop holes and hotlines.
Laws must be used that demand accountability in government workers and the
HSD and local authority agencies.
People should lose their comfortable government jobs and pensions, and face
the same jail and fines and civil court judgments that are needed to stop
this arrogant disregard of the U.S. Constitution and common decency. And those
making false "tips" or accusations likewise must be held accountable and
exposed.
What is next - seizing home school'd kids? Jehovah Witness kids, Roman
Catholic kids molested by parish protected priests, kids preached to weekly by
convicted Protestant preachers and TV evangelists, or those left for hours and
hours on end in front of videos or mindless TV ??
What about kids shunted to the periodically un-accredited schools like the
now state controlled and managed St. Louis City and East St. Louis City School
Districts with forty percent drop out rates and drug abuse and armed liked
minimum security prisons? Should someone make an anonymous tip and we can bus
these kids to some Halliburton detention center ???
Whose kids have to be grabbed and who's work place raided with mini tanks
and submachine guns - before we reach some critical mass of citizen disgust
and
outrage to generate an explosion of citizen response and action ?
Local news folks need to interview Constitutional lawyers and historians,
honest minister need to speak up, and more honest judges and law enforcement
and social service workers need to speak out.
Honest politicians must call for hearings and honest prosecutors must call
for open grand juries and full investigations.
Until, that happens, the US Constitution and Bill of Rights as well as,
basic civil and human rights will continue to be in jeopardy and the USA will
continue to slide down the slippery slope of decline and diminished freedom,
liberty, and justice.
We should remember and respect these three "revolutionary" Texas Appeals
Court Judges - they are an endangered species indeed. - crg
