i hope to submit it to LDP by the end of next week.
there's a section on MTRR's which should enhance your video in general.
not just for dvd, but for things like xanim and games.
(there's a difference between a kernel that has mtrr support compiled in and
configuring mtrr's. this document show how you configure them.)
i don't have a way of benchmarking this (yet), but it vastly improves the
performance for xanim and dvd play. i'm about to do a benchmark of quake 3
and see if it raises my fps.
